The BAPI Weather Shade Kit function is to block radiant heat coming from building surfaces and parking lots.  This radiant heat affects temperature, humidity, and air quality sensors measurement.  Also, the shade protects the probe filter from precipitation and grit, extending the life of the filter.

The shade kit has a cone shape structure and the "domed" top avoids bird nesting.  The spacing from the wall helps to draw the radiant heat away from the sensor.  Also, it has a smooth surface that protects the sensor from insects.

Easy to assemble and mount to the BAPI-Box, BAPI-Box 2, BAPI-Box Crossover and BAPI EU enclosures using capped tubes that thread into the enclosures.  The shade kit is made of durable solar stabilized plastic material that has high reflectivity rating (87%) and low emissivity rating (0.90) to provide maximum radiant heat protection.

The assembly kit includes a shade and din rail bracket, two capped mount tubes, one adjustable clamp, and one adjustable clamp with a retention plate.
