The DUNGS VDK 200A is a 1/4" NPT 120 VAC valve proving system for safety shutoff valves. It checks that both safety shutoff valves in a gas train are fully closed before a system startup or after system shutdown when wired and interlocked to a suitable flame safeguard control. The VDK 200 will halt the startup sequence to a piece of gas burning equipment if it detects an open safety shutoff valve, thus preventing ignition under undesirable conditions.

Applications

The DUNGS VDK 200A is recommended for industrial and commercial heating applications.  Some authorities having jurisdiction accept the VDK 200 in lieu of “proof of closure” when integrated with the pre-ignition system. It can also be used in lieu of a vent valve when it checks the valves at start up and shut down. The VDK 200 is suitable for natural gas, propane, butane, air and other inert gases. Not for use in Hydrogen applications.
